So he is dead, and we all agree that Peak Oil Theory is a reality.

so where do we go now since we have had to listen to his half truths and lies for so long?

What made him leave, did the world bank stop sending him checks? lol

Rene seems to be a great source of information, maybe she can keep sending us articles to update us on the situation, and maybe some of the good news of people and technologies that might solve the problem of our world running out of oil, if there is any hope.

It wasn't just peak oil he was a jingoist about.

He was also a rabid "intelligent design" advocate.

So basically, he's a right wing christian fundie. Not too many around here, but they sure do get on missions.

It is funny how the fundies think there arguments are so persuasive, but in reality, it is really just stupid. They just go on forever about stupid stuff.

That's the problem is fundies of any ilk. They are brainwashed and their argument makes so much sense to their brainwashed braind that they get real upset when the 'infidels' can't see thier 'truth'. Cult of Jesus, Cult of Islam, Cult of Republicans, Cult of Democrates just more brainwashing. While the real shadow players take the money and laugh.

          Human perception works that way.

Its like a smoker, you think with the information we know, they would quit.

But our evolution wants us to stay the same even though our brains have developed this consciousness that can choose, its got all this other hard wired neural networks patterns set up to defeat your choice to change, so we often dont change.

On fundamental issues, where people live amoung other extremist, they all want to support each other, so they laugh about global warming really being global cooling, yet this miss the point that the weather all over the world is getting worse man made or not.

We are all subject to the assuming mind, most of our memory and knowledge is a bunch of half truths that are assumptions. And our Science, the only thing in life we can count on

Recently there was a news burp about how the NRA planted a spy into the gun control movement at Mother Jones Magazine, who actually rose to the top of the organization as what amounted to a agent provocateur. It also appears she was paid by both sides.

There seems to be a lot of money in being a self appointed double agent. Maybe more on the unemployed left should see this as a career opportunity, if they can't get a job just doing and advocating what is right. This women apparently infiltrated the Animal Rights movement previously but was on the Board of Directors for multiple advocacy groups.

Isn't it better to be a paid shill than just a volunteer sap?

And wouldn't it be sauce for the goose to be a paid double agent pulling in two salaries working for Big Oil acting as a shill while being secretly a spy for Peak Oil advocates? Too bad the good guys don't have any money to pay with.

Funny how an idiot can get us all interested and sharing the truth.

We just have to bring up things. But yeah, that was one positive thing about having him in the mix was that he did increase the traffic somewhat. But on the other hand, I think he also scared off people because he often didn't allow the dialog to be productive.

Good point, it was annoying. I am trying to learn more about this subject because I am around so many idiots here in Utah. I like your rebuttles with him because it was the same thing I was trying to educate my collegues about.

I guess its pointless, they still laugh and say there is no global warming, its cold outside.

They are sheep and will only follow what their republican leadership tells them to.

They are 'Right Wing Athoritarians" as defined by Robert Aletemeyer in his book The Authoritarians. A good read to understand their mindset.

And as we can see this tribe became way more productive in my absence:-)

first of all, I am not dead, I was merely absent from these pages. Secondly, Rene is not female. Yes, Rene is rather a sissy name but nevertheless, Rene is male. I think Rene is a french name which fits him perfectly being an atheist and all.

Which 1/2 of my assertions were "true". Just curious.

I have never been paid for any posts on any forum on the internet. You flatter yourself by thinking anyone would pay anyone to conbat you Moki, you have merely sat in the background during most discussions here and shook your pom poms.

Rene has left, interestingly, about the time I left and this tribe when back to sleep once again. This of course supports the notion that it was me that gave it renewed life, not Rene (who I invited here).

BTW, are you enjoying $1.50/gallon? I am:-)
