Well, I guess my view has carried the day here as all of my opponents have abandoned ship or retreated to their "churches".

Re: Peak Oil doesn't exist
Wed, May 13, 2009 - 9:54 AMWell, the good news is that we have to move beyond oil, regardless if oil runs out or not. It’s stupid to argue peak oil doesn’t exist because to assume that oil is the only solution to our energy needs is dumb and gives our money and power away to those that sell the black crude, and want our destruction.
The ice caps are melting faster then we thought, regardless who caused it, which means a world that is in big trouble. We need to have alternative energy in a world where oil might some day not be able to be shipped from overseas, and wars that are coming to fight over the oil resources. CO 2 may or may not be a contribution to the ice caps melting, but it the new reality gives us a greater reason to be energy self sufficient from other countries. -

Re: Peak Oil doesn't exist
Wed, May 13, 2009 - 5:55 PMI am all for reasonable alternative energy Moki. But the point of this silly discussion group is "Peak Oil". This is a myth, just like your global warming myth. Ice cap melting in one place with increases in another is irrelevent to this discussion. Ethanol and wind power are just two boondoggles which liberals pursue because of irrational fear. Rational people will pursue reasonable alternative energy such as nuclear power. -

Mon, July 20, 2009 - 8:13 AMyour right Troll.
The ice caps have melted by a natural process, humans are probably not responsible.
And while you keep your oil, the oceans of the world will rise, and all hell will break loose.
Hope all these christians die with their faith and oil.

Re: Peak Oil doesn't exist
Sun, October 25, 2009 - 1:56 PMOnly a fool or a politician would beleive that peak oil doesn't exsist! Yes there are many "Doomers" out there that are trying to scare people, but the fact remains that you can only take so much liquid from a barrel. But there's a lot more to peak oil than Just what is seen on the surface.
