So, growing your own food is great and all if you live in the sticks. But, what if you live in the center of a huge city like Los Angeles and live in an apartment. Are we fucked?

Your only hope is to cultivate a network with the farmers and set up a "trade route". There will be thins that are needed on teh farm that a city can provide. But get prepared. One paper I read from a Russian collapse survivor said that the people who prospered were the ones who know hot to get things and move things with a certain "moral flexibility". These people flurish.
